- The first thing to check is the tires; since these motorcycles are used for racing, chances are that the tires will be the parts that will be most worn out. Go for the motorcycles that the tread of the tires are at least fifty percent of the original tread depth. This is to help you to use the motorcycle for a while before you can think of buying new tires for them.

- Track motorcycles for sale usually have a tendency of having leaking oils or other fluids. Always remember to check the condition of these parts to make sure that there are no leaks. Remember to especially check the engine to save you the pain of having to buy a brand new engine.

- Remember to check the water cooler system of the motorcycle. Since they are used for racing, most of the systems are usually so worn out or totally destroyed. To test this, you can ask the person who is selling you the bike to allow you to take the motorcycle for a ride so that you can check the coolers condition.

- Check the condition of the chain because most track motorcycle for sale chains are usually so loose that it would be actually dangerous for you to ride them. - Look whether all the brakes are working properly especially the front tires brakes. While you are at it, remember also to check the brake pads.

- All the lights, both the head and tail ones, should be covered to prevent the lens from melting.

- Check the tire grip to protect you from any accidents.

Remember that you do not expect the motorcycle to be in the condition that it was when it was new but you can make sure that all the parts are all working properly. Also, check the distance that the motorcycle has covered; the one that has covered less distance and has parts that are in good working conditions should be your first choice.
